Lux Homes DR was born from the desire to share a wonderful part of the world that can also be an incredible investment opportunity. After spending a year searching for a good beachfront investment property that my family and I could also enjoy, I discovered the Dominican Republic.
I was initially hesitant to consider our neighboring country, the Dominican Republic, because I really didn’t know much about it. I had heard people talk about investing in Punta Cana, but I didn’t take it seriously. A year after first hearing about Punta Cana, I decided to visit—and I found a paradise for both investment and enjoyment.
While much of the world has been facing financial challenges, the Dominican Republic has continued to grow, even impressing JPMorgan with the Dominican Central Bank’s macroeconomic stability and the financial benefits it represents.
The Dominican Republic is recognized internationally as one of the most attractive destinations for foreign direct investment. In 2022, foreign direct investment reached $4 billion.
And that is only part of the story. The Dominican Republic is also home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is becoming the Caribbean country with the highest flow of tourists. In 2022, 10 million tourists visited the Dominican Republic, and 8 million of them went to Punta Cana. The eastern region, encompassing Bávaro, Punta Cana, Cap Cana, Macao, and many other emerging beachfront areas, is experiencing tremendous growth because the rest of the world has discovered it too—not just Lymari.
Punta Cana is an immense world of entertainment and tranquility stretching along 45 miles of coastline.
There is so much to do and see. In addition to beautiful beaches and every water sport imaginable, there are multiple water parks, excellent restaurants, and unique experiences such as Dinner in the Sky and swimming with dolphins. There is nightlife, Coco Bongo, concert venues—and a new 9,000-seat amphitheater is being built—along with ecological parks, a new state-of-the-art theme park, and plenty of golf. And, of course, golf also means beautiful properties located on or alongside spectacular courses near the beach.
Cap Cana, the most exclusive area, is essentially a city within a city. It is home to the largest yacht marina in the Caribbean, capable of accommodating yachts up to 150 feet. Cap Cana is also home to the Caribbean’s largest and most prestigious golf course, Punta Espada.
But there is another important part of the story: the established forces driving Punta Cana forward. The groups that own and develop the land and the city work together, creating a sense of security and well-being. Wherever you go, the surroundings are beautiful. Punta Cana is filled with entertainment, opportunities, and possibilities.
